Nancy Quin
Deborah Woodbridge

This quills, paper and ink installation pays homage to the written works of women throughout time and to the women who have written them. Despite repression, servitude, internment and many other challenges these works have been written. A collective voice. Though hidden at times, never silenced. Feathers were chosen as a symbol, acknowledging the centuries of women’s voices taking flight. Quills, paper and ink, are the vehicles for recording their contributions to womankind and society as a whole.
