I continue to investigate my body as I have done over the years, despite the fact that the aging torso is considered by many to be “invisible” and unpalatable. The painting Crouching Grace as a Blond depicts me naked as a bewigged blonde (a symbol of desire) with scars from two knee replacements, fists up — old enough to be on Medicare, unafraid to reveal my body, long after society has given up on it. I am defiant — my persona will not be silenced. I can still “dance and shout” audaciously challenging others to pigeon-hole this septuagenarian.
