Tania Kravath

The impetus for this work was a newspaper photograph of women and children dodging bombs. Resist is my reaction to yet another cycle of violence and manipulated truth. The energy of deep pain and anger is translated into the clay. I am haunted by the abuse of power, by the willful disregard of the connectedness of all life and by the oppression of the most vulnerable. We have a desperate need to change direction. We must work for greater consciousness. We must speak truth to power
